Abstract

Speech and gestures were compared in individuals completing tasks, which varied in their levels of mental and physical exertion. Comparing pre-interview with post-interview, the context of the interviews as well as task difficulty both seem to play prominently in the results, as expressivity in communication dropped off in the post-interview.
