Abstract

Analyzing item-level data from the PHQ-9, we found that anhedonia and sleep problems were the most common depressive symptoms in a sample of low-income Indian adolescents. Fatigue and sleep problems were more common in males, motor problems in females, and concentration problems in victims of forced sexual intercourse.
