Abstract

We explored the use of psychoeducation as a prevention strategy for intrusive thoughts of deployment in a large sample (N = 1524) of soldiers. The psychoeducation program was socially valid and produced immediate psychological and emotional gains for participants, but produced no longer term benefit relative to training as usual.
