Abstract

We examined the relationship between occupational interest and the characteristics participants found desirable in a future mentor. The characteristics of mentors were gathered from the literature and grouped via factor analysis. Multiple regression identified that mentees vary on the traits they desire in a mentor depending on their occupational interest.
