The Relationship between Dialectical Thinking and Satisficing Tendency

We provide novel evidence with two experiments that the driving force underneath satisficing is dialectical thinking. Results demonstrate that satisficing tendency is positively correlated with dialectical thinking style. When primed with dialectical thinking, as opposed to linear thinking, participants exhibit greater satisficing tendency towards decision contexts, providing proof for causality.
