Abstract

Engagement in creative tasks has benefits. Participants in the current experiment reported feeling better, more creative, intelligent, and competent, and having more energy and a greater sense of accomplishment following a creative than a non-creative task. They also reported feeling more creative after a divergent than a convergent thinking task.
