Abstract

Across two studies, uncertainty, justice, and identity interacted to predict prosocial behaviors and psychological contract. In Study 1, identity (measured) interacted with justice and uncertainty to predict contract violation perceptions only. Study 2 furthered these findings by manipulating identity to predict prosocial behaviors through contract violation perceptions.
