The Effect of Test Anxiety on Performance in Timed and Untimed Problem Solving Questions

Abstract

This study examined the influence of test anxiety (TA) on college students’ performance answering timed and untimed problem-solving questions. Results showed students with moderate to high TA did worse on timed tests vs untimed. Students took the same amount of time to answer untimed questions as on timed.
