Abstract
Research on gender differences in narratives lacks sample diversity. Therefore, we solicited family narratives from an exclusively African-American sample, who also completed well-being outcome measures. Data indicate marked gender differences, including more elaborated, emotional, and relationship-oriented narratives from women, and show some support for the relation between narratives and well-being.
