Abstract

This project examined collaborative gaming performance, engagement, and attitudes toward STEM in a middle school science task to explore differences in male-male, male-female, and female-female pairs. Findings raise questions about the composition of collaborative groups in STEM as male-male pairs had higher performance and positive attitudes after serious video-game play.
