Abstract
When controlling for covariates, protective factors (i.e., frequent communication between the couple, the non-deployed spouse perceiving greater informal and formal social support, and higher levels of self-mastery in the non-deployed spouse) were all significantly related to a greater increase in spouse growth, while risk factors remained not significant.
