Abstract

This study uses the Functional Measurement Theory to assess how slave descendants perceive and judge reparations policies of the past, the present, and the future. 298 statistical surveys were collected. The data analysis reveals three clusters that correlate to the participants’ opinions on the issue: “Skeptics,” “Reparationists,” and “Undetermined.”
