Abstract

A survey was conducted to determine if eating disorder risk and body image elements predict compulsive buying. Results indicated that attitudes related to one's physical appearance, fitness, health and as well as eating disorder risk were predictors of compulsive buying with appearance orientation being the strongest predictor of compulsive buying.
