The Help-Seeking Behavior of Undocumented Immigrant Survivors of Intimate Partner Violence during a Period of Anti-Immigrant Sentiment

This study explores the help-seeking behaviors of undocumented survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV) in a Southern California city since the 2016 U.S. election which brought increases in anti-immigrant rhetoric. In-depth semi-structured interviews with immigrant IPV survivors and victim advocates were used to explore help-seeking behavior and coping strategies.
