Properties of a Self-Report Measure of Psychodynamic Personality Development

Abstract

Factor analysis was conducted with items from the original Krout Personal Preference Scale. Varying levels of internal consistency and variance explained were obtained for nine resulting subscales. Results are applied based on structure of factors, theoretical basis for item construction and practical utility of subscales for adaptive and maladaptive functioning.
