Practices and Processes in Family Emotion Socialization: Exploring Antecedents and Consequents
This symposium draws on diverse developmental periods, methods, and conceptualizations of family emotion socialization processes to provoke new thinking and innovation in this research area. Topics include dyadic interaction flexibility, within- and between-family effects of parent-adolescent connectedness for well-being, and emotion coaching practices for young children’s resilience in at-risk families.
