40 Years of FACS: Research and Applications of the Facial Action Coding System
This symposium celebrates the 40th anniversary of Ekman and Friesen’s Facial Action Coding System (FACS; 1978; 2002). FACS was developed to further scientific research on facial expressions of emotion. Its impact now extends far beyond emotion research. This symposium highlights FACS-based research in diverse fields within and outside psychological science.
