We examine attachment from various lenses. Esposito highlights how genetic, hormonal, and environmental factors in combination with cultural contexts regulate parent-infant interactions. Hong shows how individuals develop attachments to cultures. Christopoulos reveals that secure cultural attachment buffers the stress of threatening stimuli. Saad examines how insecure cultural attachment impairs cognition.
