Beyond Good and Bad Predictors: How Perception of Life Events Contributes to the Good Life

Psychological findings are too often simplified into positive and negative predictors of the good life. Using longitudinal data, three speakers provide evidence from the MIDUS dataset to support the notion that positive life outcomes do not exclusively come from positive events, but rather from how individuals interpret life’s meaningful experiences.
