Advancing Our Understanding of Psychology and Law: The Role of Sleep
Sleep is important for cognitive function and reduced sleep causes impairments in decision making and memory. In this symposium, we describe current research showing that sleep is a critical factor in many aspects of the criminal justice system, including eyewitness memory, suspect interrogation, jury decision-making, and the decision to shoot.
