Studying When and Why People Ostracize Others
Ostracism is a painful and common experience, but why do individuals choose to ostracize others? Four presenters discuss laboratory-based behavioral and fMRI data to understand when and why people ostracize others, as well as a meta-analysis of the psychological effects of using ostracism. We close with suggestions for future research.
