How Important Are Growth Mind-Sets for Learning and Achievement?
Mindsets are beliefs about whether human attributes (e.g., intelligence) can grow or are fixed. In this symposium we present new research on mindsets and learning; replications of previous studies; and meta-analyses examining the strength of the relationship between mindset and achievement, and the effectiveness of growth mindset interventions on learning.
