Beyond Genetic Testing: Should Medical Treatment Be Personalized to Your Psychological Profile?

Thursday, May 24, 2018 · San Francisco, CA

Oral · Biological/Neuroscience

Personalized medicine promises to tailor healthcare to individual genomes. Yet we must parallel biological personalization with equally rigorous attention to the psychology of the person receiving treatment. We explore the potential to customize psychosocial aspects of medicine, the physiological impact of patient beliefs, and potential drawbacks of sharing genetic predispositions.
