Thinking More Critically About Item, Measure, and Model Selection: The Role of Quantitative Methodology Throughout the Entire Research Process

This session will present four studies that highlight some of the challenges that researchers face in measuring and modeling psychological constructs. We cover several aspects of the research process, including the selection of predictors and response formats, the comparison of competing models, and methods of model evaluation.
