Hidden Motivators: New Insights in Implicit Processes in Goal Pursuit
This symposium presents new insights in implicit influences in goal pursuit—the effects of hidden motivators. The contributions highlight recently discovered roles of critical variables like implicit importance, outcome desirability, prime awareness, and implicit social perception goals in determining behavior and help understanding how and when hidden motivators work.
