Understanding the Role of Emotion in Psychopathology Across the Life Span
Emotions are adaptive, guiding behavior and shaping experience. Dysfunction in emotion systems, however, can occur throughout the lifespan and underlie many clinical disorders. This symposium examines the links that emotions have with clinical symptoms in a range of populations across the lifespan, from childhood to late adulthood.
