The Neural Basis of Fear Experience

Friday, May 25, 2018 · San Francisco, CA

Oral · Biological/Neuroscience

Recent theoretical controversies in emotion and affective neuroscience raise questions about the psychological and neural mechanisms of fear. These debates hinge on fear experience in humans, and its generalization across species. We address fear experience from multiple theoretical perspectives drawing on observations in non-human animals, human neuropsychology, and human neuroimaging.
