Drawing from the control-value theory of achievement emotions and the expectancy-value model of motivation, this symposium examines high school and university students’ situational academic emotions and motivation, taking into account intra-individual and interindividual variability in emotions and motivation, and co-occurrence of positive and negative emotions.
