How Learning Gives Rise to Morality
This symposium explores how learning gives rise to moral cognition and prosocial behavior. Speakers will discuss how children develop theories that guide their moral judgments; how adults learn with whom to reciprocate and whether to value kindness towards out-groups; and how societal institutions lead citizens to internalize kindness and cooperation.
