Abstract

Suicide is a public health concern among sexual minorities. We examined whether savoring, generating and prolonging positive emotions, can buffer the associated effects of discrimination on early suicide markers among LGBTQ individuals. Our models highlight the protective role of savoring in reducing the relationships between discrimination and early suicide risk.
