We Might be Gray, but We Aren't Blue: Resilience Mediates the Relationship between Perceived Stress and Depression in Lesbians and Gay Men over 50

This study examines how and why perceived stress predicts depression among aging sexual minorities. We found that resilience partially mediates the relationship between perceived stress and depression. The findings suggest the relationship between stress and depression is attenuated when the level of resilience in a person increases.
