Abstract

We present findings on changes in salivary hormones (cortisol, alpha-amylase, and testosterone) during graded music performances. Thirty-nine music students provided 7 saliva samples on 3 days and over the course of 2 performances. Statistically significant and unique effects of time and performance between stress biomarkers were evaluated.
