Academic Laguage Proficiency in Primary School Children: A Picture Book Based Support Program

Abstract
In this quasi-experimental study with pre- and post-test design, we examined the effect of a picture book based intervention program on school children´s academic language proficiency. There has been no evidence of an increase in academic language skills due to the intervention program. However, reading comprehension improved through the training.
