Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate whether personality characteristics predict self-esteem and whether social-emotional competence factors function as mediators in the relationship between personality and self-esteem.Results show that personality plays a significant role in determining self-esteem and that social-emotional competences positively influence the relationship between personality and self-esteem.
