Science Identity: Predicting Career Aspirations across Gender and Race in Secondary School Students

Abstract
A significant interaction was found showing that science identity had a greater impact in promoting science career aspiration in boys than girls. Boys and white students were more likely to have a strong science identity and want to pursue a career in science than their female and African American peers.
