Abstract

The present study examined the intersections between Dweck’s mindset theory (fixed versus growth), cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. We used a brief educational paradigm to teach randomized participants about anxiety mindsets. Findings suggest that college students’ views of anxiety can shift in alignment with Dweck’s mindset theory.
