Abstract

The spatial arrangement method (SpAM) is a single-trial method of obtaining subjective similarity judgments. Multiarrangement (MA) is a more time-consuming method that promises better estimates. We compared these methods with several types of stimuli. SpAM appears to be the more efficient method under most conditions.
