Abstract
Utilizing the elevated plus maze, it was determined that naltrexone does not induce anxiogenic effects in rats. If findings of this study transition to humans, the lack of anxiogenic effects enhances the efficacy of naltrexone which may serve as a valuable tool in pain management and opioid drug abuse therapy.
