Abstract

By manipulating perceived intelligence levels of a male and female vignette character, this study evaluated the effects of risk-taking on attractiveness scores in relation to self-perceptions of self-intelligence and personal attractiveness. The results indicated that there is a significant difference in attractiveness perceptions for high and low risk-takers.
