Acceptable Faux Pas?: The Effect of Foreign Language on Social and Racial Judgment
- Hope Morrison

Abstract
The Foreign Language Effect has previously shown that people are less emotional when using a foreign language (Cipolletti et al., 2016). The current research examined perceptions of racial prejudice (Study 1) and novel moral violations (Study 2). Results suggest that foreign language use may inhibit perception of social taboos.
