Abstract

Microaggressions are small verbal, and nonverbal insults and slights which communicate negative messages to a person based on their marginalized group membership. These interactions can be intentional or unintentional and can be thought of as small everyday forms of discrimination. A meta-analysis evaluates the relationship of microaggression exposure and depression.
