Abstract

Results indicated a significant association between medical maximizing-minimizing (MMM) and healthcare outcome expectations (HOE) with HOE accounting for 16% of the variance in MMM while other social cognitive theory (SCT) variables like healthcare self-efficacy (HSE) trended towards significance. Other results were inconclusive, but point to subtypes within the MMM construct.
