The Mediating Effect of Emotion Dysregulation on the Association between Trauma Experience and a Negative Affective Forecasting Bias

This study supported the role of emotion dysregulation in mediating the association between trauma and negatively biased emotional predictions towards future hypothetical negative life events. These results furthered our understanding of personal factors that influence one’s ability to predict and regulate their emotion in the context of future life events.
