The Psychological Construction of Confusion and It's Relationship to Complex Inferential Reasoning Performance

Abstract

Research suggests that the emotional experience of confusion might improve complex reasoning performance. A study was conducted using elements of the Theory of Constructed emotion, in conjunction with hierarchical regression analysis, to investigate relationships between two different constructions of confusion and inferential reasoning performance among a sample of college students.
