Abstract

This study examined ally characteristics and civil rights attitudes of heterosexual students towards the LGBT community. Students with LGBT close friends had significantly higher ally behavior and LGBT attitude scores than students without LGBT friends. There were no ally or attitude differences for students with only LGBT acquaintances or coworkers.
