Abstract

Working memory (WM) includes active maintenance in primary memory (PM) and cue-dependent search and retrieval from secondary memory (SM). A double-blinded, placebo-controlled, randomized WM training trial was conducted to target SM abilities. ANCOVAs indicated that the treatment group did not significantly improve over controls on SM or fluid reasoning scores.
