Body Size Preferences of the Opposite Sex: The Relationship between Misperceptions and Eating Attitudes

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between misperceptions of ideal body size and eating attitudes. Negative eating attitudes were correlated with inaccuracies in perceptions of what the opposite sex wants, specifically in body size for women and in muscle size for men.
