Abstract
We examined if ideal affect predicted emotional reactivity to exam outcome. University students (n= 184) rated their ideal affect prior to an exam, and they rated emotional reactivity when receiving grade. Higher levels of ideal positive affect (PA) predicted greater PA to exam success even after controlling for relevant variables.
