Anger, Worry, and Depression Negatively Impact Cardiac Function

Abstract
One hundred twenty students participated in a study investigating the effects of negative affect traits on heart rate and heart rate variability. Increases in anger rumination and worry scores predicted increases in heart rate and decreases in heart rate variability across tasks while increased depression scores predicted increased heart rate.
