Abstract

We hypothesized people may experience more positive psychosocial outcomes when a therapy dog is present. A study based on surveys and interviews was conducted. Participants were asked thought provoking questions. No differences in psychosocial outcomes were found but there were significant differences in attitudes towards pets and animal continuity perceptions.
